White Horse Youth Ranch Foundation Annual Grant
Each year, White Horse Youth Ranch Foundation opens a competitive grant cycle for nonprofit organizations that share the same mission and values as the Foundation and who are new organizations just getting their feet off the ground. We are committed to helping these new organizations succeed in the first five years of their operations, and these grants are part of that program.
Who is eligible:
Nonprofit organizations specializing in horse therapy for children, equine rescue and care, and similar programs. Must be a 501(c)3 organization as defined by the IRS.
Nonprofits who are 1 – 5 years old (older organizations cannot be considered).
Nonprofits located in the United States.
How it works:
One competitive grant will be awarded each year, in the amount of $10,000.
In addition to the grant funding, specific Board Members of the Foundation will be available to the winning organization for the term of one full year on a Loaned Executive basis to assist the new organization with any operating areas that may need to be strengthened. These areas can include any of the following:
Governance/Board Building
Financials
Ethics and legal compliance
Fundraising and Event Planning (the Foundation will not plan actual events, but will supply the winning organization with tools to plan events)
Grant writing and Case Statement creation
Volunteer management
Donor relations
Grant seekers will participate in a graduated step application process, beginning with the Letter of Interest located on this site.
There is a finalist list released once during the grant cycle.
Award winner is selected from the finalist list after interviews with the Foundation Board of Directors and submission of all final documents required.
